Originally started in 1993 as a pilot program, HOME-New
Mexico (HNM) was created as a response to concerns
by a statewide coalition of human service agencies about
a lack of housing services targeting low-income people
with disabilities. Since its incorporation in 1995 as
a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency, HNM has provided homebuyer
counseling for over 1300 people with disabilities and has
helped over 315 families become homeowners.
